Summer Escapes: Crimson Resort and Spa

Summer is at its tail-end, and we’ve been having rain showers these past few days, but it’s not too late for  some last-hurrah summer getaways with the fam.

So here’s our third suggested destination for your family vacation: Crimson Resort and Spa in Mactan, Cebu, Philippines.

A bit pricey, you may say, but this resort has bragging rights to being a multi-awarded beach resort.

How to get there: From Manila, a plane or boat ride away.

Things to do: swimming (beach or infinity pool), spa (therapy sessions, sauna, steam), Azure Bar, restaurants

Budget:  rooms range from PhP8,000 to PhP23,000 per night (roughly USD171 – USD490)

Suggested side trip/s: Alegre Guitar factory, where you can see how fine guitars are made by hand.

Interesting find/s:  mandolins and ukeleles
